Manco Kapak is an Albanian nightclub boss who wishes to retire in Thailand with his girlfriend, Sunny. While having sex, he suffers a heart attack, which signals his need for retirement.However, a man, Jeff, robs him at gunpoint of $75,000.

Detective Slosser arrives at the case, only to be covering for the robber, Jeff, and forces him to get his son into college. Jeff, after making a $9,999 deposit in a bank, teams up with Carrie, a teller, to successfully rob Kapak again. He shoots at them but they leave with the cash.

An infuriated Kapak turns to meditiation as a result, and back in the nightclub, is called to go to Rodriquez, a crime boss in contact with Kapak, and a cameraman takes photos of him as he leaves.

Meanwhile police officer Joe, Kapak's friend who wishes to buy the nightclub from him, searches to catch a cartel boss. Kapak enters a car and is held at gunpoint, and talks the woman down after claiming that Rodriquez will hunt her down.

She takes Kapak to the house of Rodriquez to have a talk about the money.

Kapak offers to sell the club to Rodriquez to settle the money situation, but Rodriquez orders one of his henchmen to kill him, but someone throws a rock into the house, providing a distraction and allowing Kapak to kill Rodriquez and his henchmen, and shoots Rodriquez's wife in the head in self defence when she attempts to kill Kapak. Kapak tells Irene to go home. He then burns the house down to erase the evidence.

Meanwhile Carrie and Jeff attempt to rob the nightclub again in a massive score. Spencer takes Sunny hostage after a brief struggle to take the money. while Jeff and Carrie rob the club. The robbers accidentally shoot Spencer dead in a haze, and drive away after hearing a police siren. Carrie and Jeff, while fighting over the money, accidentally crash the car, killing Jeff but sparing Carrie, she escapes just as the car explodes behind her.

Kapak calls Sunny, who explains that the club was robbed. The two decide to leave to an airport, while the police keep a close eye on Kapak as he drives away.

At the airport, Kapak decides to go to Vancouver to plan an exit strategy, though Slosser, the corrupt cop, is revealed to be the true mastermind of the robbery and Slosser holds Kapak at gunpoint but is saved by Joe, who has been communicating with his boss in a plot to incriminate Slosser for his crimes. A standoff ensures where Joe is wounded in the arm. In a fight, Kapak shoots Slosser in the chest, killing him and ending his corruption.

Kapak and Sunny learn that Joe was planning to incriminate Slosser only to get to his own target, the cartel leader El Burro.The couple leave as Joe gives them back the money, and sets off to capture El Burro.
